Voices Unbound: A Benefit Concert of New Chamber Works
Presented in partnership with Meng Wang Music Academy
A Carnegie Hall benefit concert of new chamber works by young composers, presented by Meng Wang Music Academy for Facta Non Verba. OMI founder Qianwen Shen performed four premieres.

About this event
Voices Unbound brought new chamber music by young composers to Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. Presented by Meng Wang Music Academy, the evening was a benefit for Facta Non Verba, a nonprofit expanding access to children’s education in Madagascar.
OMI founder and violinist Qianwen Shen gave the premieres of four new works, joined by cellist Yi Qun Xu, pianist Ying Li, and guests. Supporting young artists as they find their own voices is at the heart of OMI’s mission, and the evening’s program thanked Overture Music Intensive for its support.
The pieces OMI artists performed are listed below. The full program also included works by Winston Qin, Ciara Zhang, Nick Leatherman, Ella Bao, Zoey Feng, Yunze Mu, Kurt Weill, and Reiko Füting.
